Links you like — Later

LaterThis is an easy to use web based application that will make the way you consume content online much more pleasant and less stressful. With no downloads or installation requirements, you can start using LaterThis within minutes - all you need is a computer with an internet connection.

With LaterThis, you can save interesting links and revisit them later when you are in the mood to read them, this without cluttering your bookmarks-folder or desktop with hard to find links.

As we all know, whenever we search the web for something in particular, we can easily become distracted with the countless sites that we come across. It has become too easy to go off on a tangent and suddenly you've spent far too much time on the internet, and you may have even forgotten the original reason you started browsing in the first place.

Up until now, you probably saved an interesting link, perhaps a favorite movie you found on Youtube, to your bookmarks-folder, telling yourself that you'd go back and watch it when you had the time. The problem being, finding that saved link hidden somewhere in the 60 or more other links in your cluttered "favorites" folder. LaterThis was designed to solve this problem.

Your time is valuable and you don't want to spend it searching and re-searching the links you've saved. Using the built-in bookmarks provided by your browser was alright when you first started searching the web, but now that you've saved dozens of sites it can take quite a while to search through the list just to find that one particular website.

LaterThis allows you to save and read the links in an ordered fashion. When you save links using LaterThis, the links are automatically organized for you. Let's say you find a website that you'd like to go over later; simply save the link using the LaterThis bookmarklet and it will appear in the "unread links" category. All you need is a computer with internet connection, or when you are on the run you can access your saved links on your iPhone or iPod touch. Once you've had time to visit the site, the link will automatically move to the "recently read links" category. You can also organize your saved links with customized tags which enable you to categorize your links and make searching for them later easier. All your links are archived as long as you want and you can add "stars" to your favorite links.

Of course, LaterThis also has a handy search feature which will help you find your saved links quick and easy. Forget why you saved a link? That won't be a problem with LaterThis. When you save a link using LaterThis, you will take a snap shot of the website to refresh your memory. You can also add comments to the saved link to further identify the website. LaterThis also have built in RSS-function that keeps you up-to-date with what's on other people's reading list.

LaterThis was created by Magnus Hjelm, a web developer from southern Sweden, to solve his problem of always having unread bookmarks on his desktop. You can follow what he is currently reading on his LaterThis account page: Links saved by mh77 and why not say hi on Twitter.
